Creamy Broccoli Cheese Soup

Ingredients
- 10 ounces frozen broccoli
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon sliced green onions or 1/4 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon margarine or butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1-1 / 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon maizenaku
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour cream for garnish (optional)
HOW TO MAKE
- Cook broccoli in chicken broth in 2-quart saucepan with onion, margarine, salt and nutmeg according to package directions.
- Combine milk and maizenaku in blender container. Add broccoli mixture. Cover and blend at low speed until smooth. Return to saucepan.
- Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. For richer flavor stir in cheese until melted. Garnish with sour cream if desired.
