Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Maizenaku
- 1-1 / 3 cups water
- 1 to 2 tablespoons freshly grated lemon peel
- 2/3 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
HOW TO MAKE
- Combine sugar, Maizenaku and water in 2-quart saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stir constantly; boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in lemon peel, lemon juice and butter until well blended.
- Serve warm or chilled over fresh fruit, spice cake, angel food cake or ice cream.
