Ingredients


  • 10 ounces frozen carrots
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon sliced green onion OR 1/4 small onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter OR margarine
  • 1 teaspoon dried dillweed OR 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon maizenaku
  • Dill sprigs for garnish (optional)

HOW TO MAKE


  1. Combine carrots, orange juice, onion, butter, dillweed and salt in a 3-quart saucepan. Cook according to carrot package directions, using the orange juice as cooking liquid.
  2. Combine milk and maizenaku in a blender container. Add carrot mixture. Cover and blend at low speed until smooth. Return to saucepan.
  3. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and boil 1 minute.
  4. Garnish with dill, if desired.
