Ingredients


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk

HOW TO MAKE


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender OR 2 forks until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk and stir just until ingredients are mixed. Do not overmix.
  3. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Delicious served warm with butter, honey or gravy.
